So I crafted 10 daffodils out of aluminum foil because 10 years is tue aluminum/tin anniversary andthe daffodil is the traditional 10 year flower I guess. Just wanted to show these off and I thought you guys might appreciate them.

Congrats! We had ours last month. I was not that crafty, nor did I even get her any metal. We did visit Colorado, so there’s that...
Here’s to another 10 and more to both of you.

Tsk, should have gotten her a billet flywheel

Very lovely! I’m impressed. Happy Anniversary!

Ugh, you're right of course. That'd make her 2.0 so much more responsive.

Congrats. Here’s to the next 10!

Thanks! It was crazy cheap also. Like $3 worth of foil, a vase that had been under the sink for an indeterminate amount of time and some paint that was in the garage already. I got generic foil but the heavy duty kind.

Awesomeness, congrats! I love the DIY ethic here, that makes it extra special.
Our 15th is next week and I finally bit the bullet on some jewelry (literally, the first piece of real jewelry I’ve bought her since engagement, so it’s overdue). Thankfully she didn’t want a whole new, giant ring...we took her engagement ring to be re-mounted in something new to freshen it up. A halo of small diamonds to go around the big one.
In return, she immediately relented on our next car selection, so I definitely gained some bargaining power there :)

Thanks! While we were dating and working in the same kitchen I had crafted her some ro s es out of foil so that makes these just a bit more special.
I’ve tried purchasing jewelry for my wife but she doesn’t really care for it. Sh e’s difficult to buy for.

Thanks! My hands were very sore by the end and I was glad I settled on 10 and not a dozen.

My 3 year anniversary was last week and I got my wife a new phone, because neither of us know or care about whatever the traditional this is the thing you’re supposed to give as a gift for this anniversary year rules are.

Yeah, jewelry sucks. But we got to the point where she was thinking “heirloom for the kids” so I wasn’t as resistant to that plan. I just don’t like having to ALSO pay an extra $20-$30/month of insurance just in case. I’m not being cheap, it just feels like a bad deal all around.

At the end of the day they are just some shiny rocks that serve no real purpose. I tried to sell my wife on an engagement laptop but that didn’t fly.

Nicely done!
Our nine year anniversary was last week, and both my wife and I forgot about it completely. We were reminded that morning when a friend sent us a funny gif in a group text, and said happy anniversary. We both burst out laughing, realizing that if not for that text, we would have missed the day completely.

Congratulations! That’s awesome!
We’ll be having our 12th anniversary together in February, and our marriage anniversary in May (5 years). It doesn’t seem like that long, it still feels like we just met.

Well I used some heavy duty foil and a funnel to squeeze it around to make the horn then squeezed the foil behind it into the stem. For the petals I printed out a paper daffodil te mplate I found on the internet and traced it on some foil and cut stacks of 4. Poked a hold in the middle and slide it up the stem then crumpled some foil around the stem to hold the petals in place. Then finished them off with a h it of some spray paint.

I’m with you on that. My wife would be super dissapointed if I forgot our anniversary so I try to make it special for her haha.

Well 10 years in it still feels like we’ve just met but it also feels like we’ve always been.

My wife has forgotten it multiple times. This is the first time I forgot too.
